Heading south to Indiana tonight. Gonna be pulling 25ft of gooseneck with a jeep on 1 tons and 37in tires and a s10 blazer on 1tons down to the Badlands Offroad Park. Im loaded at about max im sure. Im guessing around 15,000 with trailer and toys alone. This should be a good test or the old girl. I have pulled the same load before and got 9 mpg. Im hopin for that going down. It is a 300 mile trip and my rear tank is leaking so im gonna have to stop more often but Owell.

Sounds like a good load for the IDI. I've never been to Badlands, but I'd like to go one day. Enjoy the trip.

Just got home. Averaged 9mpg on the 600 mile round trip. Got 10 on some tanks and trying to run ******* the highway i was getting around 8. I guess not too bad for what im thinking weights around 15,000 lbs plus the truck.

, i dont what speeds you were hitting, but with my old 6.0 at 80 and a 35 ft pull behind camper, i was getting 6-8. couldnt do that now, with the 90.

I used to figure to average 8.9 -call it 9 with a 30 ft gooseneck loaded couldn't get any better my figures were based on long hauls -day after day. So I think yoou're ok.I came to a conclusion that a goosenech has a lot more wind drag then we realize.as as soon as it was hooked up my mileage dropped to 10-11 MPG.

And what a trip it was to the Badlands woot

I got about the same mileage pulling just my tandem with the truggy on it (6-7000lbs total) got about 10-11 mpg and about 190-200 miles per tank. But now I want a turbo for a little more get up in its step though.
