Has anyone had their "OD" flash on an e40d and not flash the next start up?

My OD was flashing in the middle of my drive (after 5 miles). got to my destination (15 miles) without feeling anything wrong with my E40D. pushing the od button to shift up and down still worked.
I disconnected the battery from a switch.
I started it up after 4 hours and its no longer flashing.

what in the world? is this a glitch or am I about to kill my transmission?
If it helps, my voltage would drop .5 volts when I put it in Drive. I think thats just the solenoid kicking in.
The trans temp was at 140f

My OD light had only flashed when my truck shalls or used to shut off due to crappy parts now doesn't unless I forget to change my fuel filter then I see it when it shuts off.

I didnt know automatic transmissions could stall out the motor. maybe it was just because it was too cold or something? Im in california but it was still cold in the morning.

Bad fuel or fuel filter fuel pump bad alternator among other things can stall a E40D out not sure on a manual transmission though
