Ok, so last week I put on a fresh rebuilt pump and timed it. First time I started it it fired up great, then after about a day or two it went downhill. it would start without a gas soaked rag over the intake. Well with a complete tune-up (New Injectors, Glowplugs, Filters and some odd ball parts) The problem persists.... :backoff -cuss Now I have two days to fix it before I go back to Infantry school so my wife has a reliable truck. I've attempted advancing and retarding the pump and no change. I know the truck needs the valveguides done but the valves are in great shape otherwise. Tore the motor down and found out why it was burning so much oil. just needs all the exhaust guides done. But it fired up great before the new Injection Pump.... What could it be? also Glow Plug Relay tests out good.:dunno
