Hey guys I found a mid 90's dodge diesel with auto for sale. Its 1000 dollars and is stuck in drive will not go in reverse or park. Is this a good buy or would the transmission cost more than the truck is worth. Kinda of wanting a truck but not a headache got enough of those already. The exhaust is run through the hood and according to rumor it isn't stock supposed to have out run a gt mustang recently. Thanks for any info just really wanting a cummins for that wonderful sound and power.

Stack through the hood more than likely means it's bombed. Depending on the mods you could have a good running truck. If it's an auto then you're looking at a few grand if it has to be rebuilt which is significantly less than the value of the engine itself (assuming it's in running shape). If the truck is a 4x4 then it'll be worth more.
