fuel selector valve delete?

I also install showerheads.

I have mixed feelings about those. One, I have had them crumble when old. Also, I have gotten a lot of crap in gas and fuel, including black sluge that looked kinda like it might be silicon. But so far nothing has plugged the hose. Rather, it is out of the tank and into a Racor bowl where I can see it, possibly identify the source, and deal with it.

I just replace the pump with hose.

I heard someone say to make sure and buy hose rated for submersion. Apparently a lot of regular hose rated for fuel has a inner layer of the good stuff, but the outer layer is the cheap stuff that can't stand constant contact with the fuel.

Always see people say the same thing.
I used whatever cheap stuff the parts store had.
Had both out a couple months ago, still look fine after being submerged for a few years.
