Fuel Filter?

I'm just chopped full of noob questions! My first diesel... how do i pull the fuel filter without spilling diesel everywhere?

If You have the ones with a soup bowl under the filter You could open the water drain valve with a little hose on it and then turn the filter enough to get air in and that should help. Or just be very careful when You remove Your filter.

Replace it with a one piece filter.
