I'm still fighting with my fuel filter, it costs me 75$ plus shipping, import and sales tax to get one of those filters to me, not to speak of 2 months lead time.
and I'm still trying to get my engine running after it got the dreaded diesel pest, or algea.
I foresee to get my engine running in the first two weeks that I need to change that filter at least one or two times, therefore I try to get a kind of a by pass so that I can get a lot cheaper filters connected.(11€/Piece)

I know it is a US size, and here we're used to metric, mm (millimeters)
If someone can tell me what the size of the tread is on which the filters screws on, that would be nice.
Thanks

Wix is generally a decent brand; that said, i'm not a brand loyalist. I usually look at the cheapest filters on rockauto, and then start googling for who actually makes them.
