What do you all think of the old 6.9 powered F-150 after the body update and the new paint? Little brothers truck!

Bottom pic is before shot!

Did you just change the front clip, or the whole cab? Nice project. What did you do (if anything) to the tanks? Used the core support from a donor? Maybe a write up would make a nice article for our tech section.

Great Project! What tranny did you use?

If I had money... tell ya what I'd do... go downtown and paint a Ford truck or 2... :)

Wow guys sorry I didnt get back to yall sooner! This truck started life as a 1984 Ford F-150 2WD! The four 4WD drivetrain came out of a 85 Ford Bronco, while the 6.9 diesel and C6 combo were donated from a 1986 F-350 CrewCab with 75K original on the clock! We added a 4" suspension lift and a set of 33's! The swampers were killed in the wreck along with the license plate! Since teh wreck the cab was teh only thing saved. This truck now has a 1984 cab, 1987 bed and a 1992 doghouse! This is one thing I love about Fords, all their body parts from 1980 to 1997HD can be interchanged. The interior was upgraded with a 89 cloth bench and a custom confederate flag headliner! This truck has live a hard life. The front end is not likeing the added weight at all. It is currently out of comision due to the trans. If anyone has a C6 4wd tranny for a 6.9 they would like to get rid of cheap let me know! All we did was take the fuel tank out of the 6.9 donor when we did this conversion. Still need to install the airconditioning though!

Question for you guys, will a F-150 straight axle from a 79 bolt up under a 89 F-150? We need to do something with it! I'm going to build the 9" rear, build a auto for it and later on add a turbo, maybe even rebuild! Here are a few other pics for you! Any more questions please feel free to ask! ;Really

Don't have a C6, but FWIW, I should have a 4WD T-19 available in about a month, if you're interested and could wait that long...

Other than the dead trans and the rebel stuff, nice truck!

Thanks guys! The truck is my little brothers and he has hard enough time driving the auto! We found a 5spd with everything needed to change it over for $1500! Who knows what we will do!
