Does anyone know where to source a factory turbo style ats air filter? Do parts stores usually have them?

Also, I was debating instead, getting a 3" peice of U-bend exhaust pipe and a clamp on style cone filter, and making a "cowl induction" by putting the filter in there, OR running a pipe down to the grill area and putting a filter there? are the ATS airboxes restrictve at all?

FWIW you should be able to go to any parts store and tell them you want a filter for a '94 Ford factory turbo, and they ought to have it onhand. I'm not sure what the filter number is, but IIRC it's pretty standard.

And, FWIW, I don't know how restrictive the "factory-style" air filter is, but you should be able to run a cowl induction to the intake on the filter assembly...unless you're specifically looking to do a cone filter. I like the idea of a cone filter, but I'm not a fan of the wash/reuse filters...I wish there was a paper cone filter out there...
