ecm will 92 work 0n 91 ?

hey Guys, I have a 91 intercooled and the over drive been intermitent for several years. My mechanic has zeroed in on the ecm I have a used ecm fron=m a 92 intercooled auto. I was wondering If it will work on the 91 ? Any one out there know.

someone with more knowledge will be along shortly but I would say yes, I don't think they changed much in those years?

If the transmission in both trucks are the same (which I'm thinking that both trucks have the 4-speed auto) then the ECM should be fine. The ECM in these trucks only control the radio, ABS, cruise control, and I suppose the auto too.

'91 was the change over year where the trucks got the intercooler. The engines themselves (except for a few minor things such as injector nozzle size) were pretty much unchanged.
