easiest way to install tachometer on 7.3 L E350 Econoline

As you guys know the Vans didn't come with the tachometer in the cluster I would like to have a tachometer inside the cab what's the easiest and most cost-efficient way to have this done or to do this?

I plan on going a similar route to jayro88's idea. It's a little more expensive this way but I would rather have a 4K tach. Autometer makes a 2 5/8 4K for distributored engines but they sell the diesel tach adaptor separate so you can run any tach you want off the alternator
