The truck drives fine but I am tossing some tires on and just crawled under to take a look at things. Reading a few posts and watching a few videos, the condition I am having did not pop up.
After looking, pushing and pulling I have found this condition-
With the truck on the ground there is no movement of the tie rods while prying or twisting the tie rods. With the passenger side jacked up under the axle, no movement while shaking the wheel.
The driver side while jacked up under the axle, with hands at 3 and 9, the tire moves about 1 or less while pushing at 9 o'clock. It appears the the tie rods and connecting rods rotate or twist at the pivots that causes this. It takes a bit of pushing but it moves. Is this normal? Can it be the angles of these pivots in relation to each other? I checked and re checked but can't seem to find play in the pivots, just this odd rotating issues that causes the wheel movement while pushing at 9.
