Not to worry too much, my '85 CC dualie will retain its 6.9 and my '92 460 zf5 4x4 will find a turboed 6.9, but I still need a good use for that FI 460, boat? :dunno anchor LOL

well maybe I'll just **** everyone off and pull the fully built twin turbo P-pump 24 valve out of my dodge, along with the NV5600 and T-case, put them in my '86 f250, and drop a DT360 with an allison and divorced NP205 in the 3500 Dodge.

Now that would be something to see.......... A 3500 Dodge with a IH DT under the hood.

Waste of a perfectly good engine cookoo the only reason dodge sells their crap in the first place is so the buyers can get a good engine, when the truck falls apart swap it to a ford ;Sweet

I'm thinking I should pace myself here, with the upcoming phase out of medium duty trucks with older engines in CA these should be easier to come by ;Sweet

I've had better luck with my '01 cummins/dodge than I had with my '97 F250HD, suspension/ ride is better, interior is better, not to mention a LOT better drivetrain, I'll take my NV trans, NP t-case, and dana axles anyday. they are holding up to more power more reliably.

I know this is the ford section, but my Dodge has been a better Pickup for everything except offroading and I'm not scared to say it.

Yup, there's a reason I'm building my next truck from scratch my way! Now I'm thinking 4 link and air bags :sly

Carburated fords in the early '80 ran about as long as the Titanic before they started having problems :puke: I towed a 7k trailer with an 87 carbed 460 a few months back, I didn't think I was going to make it home :rotflmao

yeah, my aunt had a 93 ranger that had about 20,000 miles before it needed major work. she still got it and has spent 5x's more than the trucks worth fixing it. on the other hand i used to have a 68 chevy c50, it has almost body on it left due to rust, but will start in -5 degree weather no matter what

my perfect truck would be: 83-86 f250 regular cab, 4x4, D60 4.11 gears, lifted 3 inches and leveled in the front, 36 inch gateway buckshot mudders completely built/moosed engine, one nice large psd turbo on top, intercooled, and stacks, T-19 since my perfect truck is going to be my mudd truck/daily driverLOL and it needs a snorkel to make sure nothing gets in the engine, that would be my perfect trck for me
