I've got about 97k miles on my truck and have only added the coolant conditioner once to it. The level is fine and it still runs cool (according to the oh so wonderful temp gauge provided by ford). Are there any concerns or worries I should have with it approaching 100K with such little done to maintain it?

i've always heard if you change the coolant your water pump is bound to go out afterwards. what do you think?

Is this something I could do myself or should I take it to a mechanic? I'm mechanically inclined, so if its not any more difficult putting on an exhaust or air intake I should be ok.
