I think Ford went to the 190mm spacing in 2002 from the 6.5". I bought 4 rims from a 2002 F250 and they won't fit the older 6.5 lug pattern. No way can you redrill the lug holes without welding them closed. That would be a ***** to get the bolt circle and spacing in the correct place without an index chuck.

Ford switched to the 170mm x 8 with the introduction of the 99 SuperDuty 3/4 and 1 ton 250/350 trucks and the Excursion, which basically runs the F-250 running gear.

Just thought about this. What about running a wheel adapter? They make adapters to go between the 8x6.5 and 8x170mm bolt patterns.

I thought about a wheel adaptor but I would only need them on either the front or rear. I figured that would screw up the spacing. Plus, I am worried about the strength, this truck is getting even bigger tires than it has now.
