Hi! I have a 2wd parts truck that is good enough to keep using, but I really need a 4x4 and finding a diesel 4x4 just isn't happening right now, installing a 4x4 transfer case, transmission, and driveshafts is easy, but I'd like to know if the frames are different, or can I install the proper brackets on this frame and be done with it?

Thanks in advance!

IIRC, the frame profile is the same, but the holes are different. The 4x2 has more holes to mount the front suspension cradle, vs. the 4x4 which has holes for spring hangers.

The easiest way to do it is cut the frame and swap stubs.

If I remember correctly the engine cradle has to be moved if you want to keep the existing frame.
You can fab up everything else pretty easily.
