I was wondering what the bolt patern on the 6.9/7.3 idi was comparable to if any bolt patterns on the gasser engines. The reason I ask is that I have a small block C6 and a big block c6 which will bolt to the 351M/400M/460 motors. The small block C6 will bolt to the 300 strait 6/302/351W. Thanx in advance. ;Sweet NORM

+1 on the guts. I've been canibalizing my diesel C-6 cores to beef up the 460's I've been building. yes, you can bolt up a 460 C-6 case to the butt of a IDI .......but the top two bolts will have no home. If you ever seen how these cases crack, the gamble is yours. there is rumour circulating over at STD that there is a guy running one, but I don't see how the flywheel and torque convertor can fit inside the 460 bellhousing cavity and not tear something up.

I'll take it as no. But I'm glad to learn Diesel C6's are more durrable. Gives me ideas of canibalization for when I rebuild the one on my wheeler.
