What exactly is the brake light telling us? Mine comes on intermittantly. Nothing consistent, every once in a while it comes on and stays on a few minutes and then goes off.

Depending on the year I believe the brake light is also connected to the low vacuum sensor as well.

Low vacuum sensor tripping the brake lite usually means your vacuum pump is going south or you have a vacuum leak. The best test would be to tee a vacuum gauge into the system. Pumping the brakes at idle can cause loss of vacuum.

Fill out your signiture so we know what kind of truck you have! Different years have different "issues" but by and large, it means either

a) your parking brake is on
b) your low or out of vacuum
c) your RABS valve is bad
d) There is a serious inbalance in the braking system (RABS valve issue)
