I have an issue when pulling my TT.

The brake controller has to be adjusted constantly. IF I leave the highway, when I break the TT yanks the truck to a bone jarring stop. IF I adjust it for the city then the truck does all of the slowing on the highway.
Also the trailer brakes apply at the same pressue, no matter how hard I apply the brake pedal.
I am using an old envoy model I believe.

Thanks

Not sure if this will help or not.....my controller has 2 adjustments on it. It is a cheapo unit. However it has served me well.
One adjustment is for how aggresive the trailer brakes are applied
Second adjustment is for how quick they are applied.

One of the adjustments is made witha small swithc on the side of the controller.

You may want to check if yours has something like this. If not, it may be time to upgrade.

One more thing to check. If you have added any additional brake connections (like for a fifth wheel) or longer line, double check that your connections have not corroded. This happened on my truck and I had to adjust my gain all the way up.
