Brake light issue

Noticed a couple wees ago that my right side brake light only works with the turn signal on. Doesn't matter which signal.

I am thinking possible ground issue but thought I would see if anyone else has had a similar issue before I start tearing into it.

This isn't on my diesel but since it is the same platform, and most of the other sections seem kinda dead that this would be the best place for it.

Truck is an 84 f150

Also check the switch near the pedal. I can't remember my exact symptoms but my wire there had worn and was intermittent connection that I was chasing for a while.

I will look at that. I would think that would cause both lights to not work though.

To add to my original post, lunch break was over and ran out of time. I did replace a broken turn signal cam with a cheapo Dorman about a month before I noticed the not working brake light. Wouldn't think that would cause it since all the turn signals function correctly but with wiring I think anything is possible.
