So this isn't diesel related but my mom drives an 02 Kia spectra. On her way home from work yesterday she stopped at a light and when the light turned green and the Kia wouldn't move in any gear. I have never seen a transmission go from good to nothing that quick. I'm pretty sure it's time to look for a cheap used car. But just curious if that happens often. Usually I hear of reverse or o.d going out first. Oh and my idi did a good job at towing it home.

check fluid level?

scan it. Hyundai/kia had some issues with the harness connectors, transmission speed sensors and temp sensor causing all sorts of transmission issues in them.

if it helps. the kia spectra was kind of an oddball mismash of things. since it was premerger design. hit me up on facebook if you need a hand diagnosing.

No codes, full of fluid, and when you put it into drive it doesn't even try to move, it's as if its staying in neutral instead of shifting
