Hi guys
I have a problem. I have a '95 F350 4x4 CC single wheel. I need to replace the driver side axle ujoint. I have auto lockouts on it. I need to know how you get the hub nut off. I looked in there and I can't see anything that looks like a "nut" at all. I see a smooth collar like thing in there, but I don't see any way to get it off. I'm guessing Ford has a special tool to remove it. :dunno

Thanks :hail

there is a half ring in therer, and it has a tang that goes into the notch.
pull that ring off, then there is a bug rounded nut, like 1 3/4 or so, special tool for it.

Thanks for the reply. On the drivers side all the parts between the lockout and the brearing are destroyed. I don't see the notch that you are talking about. Is that the one made by the grove in the spindle? If there is a specoal tool to take this apart, where can I get one?

the nut ain't that tight I took mine out by sticking a big flat bar in between the flat side of the nut and the hub then rotating the hub while I pry against the nut will spin it right off
