78 Powerwagon diesel

I recently stumbed accross a 78 powerwagon 4x4 diesel. The motor appears to be na and is coupled to an auto transmission. From what I have found it is a mistubishi 6DR5.

I was wondering what you all new about these motors and if the truck would be worth the 1k asking price of the current owner.


It looks decent and isnt rusty and I was told that it runs, but thats all I really know about.


How were these motors on power as well as milage and reliability?

There is a forum called 4btswap or something like that, there are many that use this engine for their swaps. Not a bad engine as far as I know and good fuel mileage, they also put a turbo on them. Hope this helps.

and for 1k I would buy it if it runs.
