7.3L E40D differences???

Can anyone tell me if an E40D trans from a 1997 E350 1-ton van with a 7.3L Powerstroke turbo diesel will fit a 1994 E350 cubevan with an old school 7.3L that is not turbocharged....I know it should bolt up but I'm wondering about the shift solenoid wiring and such.

The torque converter is different. Use the IDI torque converter.

So it will work other than using the torque converter from the 94?
