My buddies 350 idles fine and drives ok but if you give it decent pedal it falls flat. I'm not near the truck and just looking to shoot him a few more ideas. I told him to check the tps and ICP and to do a few tests

Well then it sounds fuel related.
Didn't say year, so I'm just gonna do OBS and SD.
SD could be weak lift pump.
In either could be pieces of shower head clogging a line.
Mine would idle all day, but soon as you tried to take off, it'd kill over.
Bad ICP sensor can do that also.

Another thing is to check the nut on the IPR. they like to loosen up and fall off.
You can test the ICP by unplugging it.

If the icp is bad the ses light comes in right? My truck is starting to have a odd idle. Unplugged ICP. Light came on but truck ran the same.

Well there you go. Lol
Should be a difference in idle when you unplug it.
Basically it's already defaulting.

That's what I thought. It made a very slight change when I first unplugged it. Plugged back in and nothing. Unplug again an nothing.
