Now that I have both I'm starting to realise why some of us have problems on WMO and some dont. My 94 7.3 dont like it! My 86 6.9 has no problem running it, even starts ok on high levels of WMO.(only one fuel tank)
As some of you may have read I put a Holley pump on the 7.3 and it made no difference in my starving for fuel problem, but I have more pressure to the filter head now. The 6.9 has an electric lift pump and water seperator bypassed, but everything else is stock.
I'm thinking about swapping to a higher flow rating fuel filter for the 7.3, thats really the only difference between the 2, but the 6.9 filter is supposed to have more filtering capacity so you would think that to be the more restrictive filter.
Can anyone else think of why the 6.9 pumps this stuff fine but the 7.3 don't?
