I have a chance to buy a 5.9 that was used as an irrigation engine. It has about 18,000 hours on it with excellent maintenance. It was removed when the owner converted the well to electricity. It had an SAE 3 clutch housing on it which was removed and has the water to air aftercooler. I don't have the CPL number handy right now. Anyone have an idea of what it would cost to rebuild/overhaul the engine? It has the VE pump on it and I believe it would have the wrong govenor for dropping into a pickup. It did have a week injector as the owner said it tended to smoke a little until it warmed up. So without having it tore down yet I am assuming rings/pistons, main and rod bearings, head gasket, injectors and a pump rebuild.

this motor is designed to run a steady rpm so it prolly has a different cam and injectors in it than what you would need for a truck motor
