03 would not start-ECM

Brother in law has a 03 2500 and after he shut it down it would not start.Lift pump kept cycling on and off.Had a good steady stream of fuel coming out fuel filter drain.Dealer came and got it and they had to change ECM.First one this dealer has had to change on a 03.His fuel gage show empty but he only had 300+ on mileage on that tank.He wound of putting 12 gals.of fuel in tank but gage still showed empty.

My ford used to always do that.... It would suck the computer would tell you how many miles ledt and the guage would be on e....

Yea when them computers go than can leaving you setting.
