Not too sure what your question is, but take a look at this

So if I'm understanding correctly, the OBS speedo has a separate plug from the rest of the cluster? A plug just for speed?

Wow thank you so much this is exactly what I was looking for! Do I have to use the sensor from the OBS or are you saying that the sensor is already there in my truck?

It is a 1993 non turbo. I would rather not do a dash swap if possible. I like the look of my bricknose interior better than the OBS lol.

Whereabouts is this speed control unit located? I have a whole parts truck at my disposal and really want to have a working speedo, so I'm going to try my best to make this work.

I can try to make it fit, but if it doesn't then I can do an axle swap. I'm mainly looking to see if anyone knows if the OBS cluster will work plugged into the truck, or if I'm going to have to switch around a bunch of wires and stuff

1988. Yes I could but then I would have to pull the 2wd zf out, swap it for a 4wd one, and then still have to find a transfer case and driveshaft. This seemed much easier to me

Wow I didn't know they made thing like that. $300 is a bit pricey though. Might have to go this route if I can't get the OBS cluster to work. I can get the OBS cluster and all associated wiring from a friend for $20 so I'd rather go this route.

During my Zf-5 swap, I realized I will not be able to use the factory speed sensor in the tail housing, since there is no place to put it in the new transmission. From my understanding, the OBS trucks have an electric sensor in the rear axle? Does anyone know if it would be possible to do a...
The start in gear wires are red/blue. There is a plug on the transmission that you can jump if you feel like that's your problem.

and, just ordered the clutch kit off of RockAuto. shipping was $17 but it was still priced a few dollars under the other link (what can i say, i'm cheap:Thumbs Up) also got a shift knob while i was at it. was going to get a shift boot too, but the cheapest one i could find was almost $70 :bs
I had looked up the part number on an old post on the forum, and this flywheel is for a non turbo motor, so we're good to go there [emoji106]

On a side note.. does anyone know where I can get a clutch kit for this thing? The clutch that I got with it looks like it's seen better days

As some of you know, I've been trying to do a ZF-5 swap in my 88 CCLB. One of my friends was parting out a 1993 f350 with a ZF-5, so I gave him a list of all the things I needed and he dropped them off at my house while I was in Texas (on business). Imagine my surprise when I come home from...
