Noticed my headlight was out so I start checking it out. Looks like the socket the bulb connects in came loose and the bulb melted a path through the lamp housing. Is this only because the hot bulb was not seated correctly and was touching plastic or something else too?
Thanks. I saw a youtube video about that and it was my next option. I wound up taking the connector off and just wiring in a 4 flat. There was only 4 out of 5 pins wired anyway so the 6 round to 4 flat they sell in stores would've worked if the stock connector wasn't corroded.
My truck is a 6 pin round with one outer pin missing. So it is 4 outer pins and the middle pin. Trying to convert to 4 flat and can only find adpaters with 4 outside pins no middle..
I just bought a 1990 F350 7.3L , it's my first diesel so I don't know a lot. There is no intake hose on my air cleaner and I'm just wondering if there originally was? is it better this way? if not where should i run an intake hose to? Thanks
Glad you posted that because the Ford dealer told me to use Mercon V. That might be whats in there now. Just bought the truck. I think the trans is 4 speed with overdrive, I'll figure it out. Thanks

That sounds like a good idea to me. I have a 1990 7.3 so I'm not sure if it's the same as your 6.9 but does the fuel filter just unscrew like an oil filter? Can't seem to find a straight answer. Can you give me some instructions on changing it if it is more than just unscrewing? This is my first...
Liqui Moly Diesel Purge
I read good reviews about the diesel purge but do not want to run it directly at this time. Everyone says you can add it to the tank and so does the back of the can. Liqui Moly customer service told me not to do that though, just hoping to get a few opinions before I do...
It's broke off level so its only a hole with the threads stuck in. I got it to hold a full radiator with only a barely noticeable leak so that should tide me over until the freezing weathers done. Thanks man.
I broke my radiator drain valve off yesterday trying to flush coolant. Part of it is still stuck in there. The hole is big enough that all the fluid leaks out somewhat quickly. It got dark so I came inside and left it overnight with the hole because it wasn't that cold yesterday. Today I go out...
