I drove it around alot more and it seems that its locking up at 35mph and shifting into 3rd at the same time. If i drive slow as heck it will hit 3rd at like 25-30 and then lock up at 35. I guess I see why people do the manual lockup mod.
My voltage was .9-1 at idle
Idle is around 650 or 750 if...
voltage is good. I drove the truck and paid more attention to the issue.
The torque converter is locking up in 3rd and OD automatically. So essentially I am not using 3rd or OD without it being locked up.
I also held the brake down when I get on the highway and the torque converter disengages.
thanks. i will have to get right on it. it feels like i dont have a 3rd gear. it basically 1 2 3lu then od. the rpm drop drastically. thanks i will check it today before i cause some more damage.
my converter seems to lock up in 3rd gear too early. sometimes its only in third for a blink of an eye. searching around seems like it could be the tach sensor. any other ideas i can check out. its a e4od. i dont want to do the converter mod.
looking for a 3/4 ton burban with a diesel. what years have the least amount of electronics. i think i read some have emissions type stuff on them. looking for 1982-1986 maybe the 1987-1993 but i prefer the older body style.
i have a 1990 ford diesel and love it. it doesnt seem to have many...
I replaced my return lines with 1/4" id tygon 4040 and I am having trouble getting fuel injection clamps that are small enough for 3/8 OD.

I tried using some zip ties but they don't seem to cut it. Small hose clamps dont work either...
I ended up getting the duralift facet from genlightning. I installed it under the hood on it's side. It's running 7psi without any pressure regulator. I got power from the factory fuel heater I removed.
Nice. I have a single axle 3500lb capacity trailer. Hoping to upgrade to something like this that has the capability to haul a vehicle now that I have a f-250 diesel. Do you mind asking how much it set you back?
I added some train horns and it came with a small 12v air compressor with a 2 gallon tank. It fits in the toolbox and cost $200. I bought it from hornblasters. I think its capable of 1-2 cfm @ 100psi with a duty cycle of around 35%.
I eliminated the heater but I'm in Texas.
I replaced the check valve and plugged the pressure sensor.
Ended up installing a 33417 filter.Basically its a one piece filter with out the water in fuel sensor. I didn't want to hassle the the potential air/fuel leaks on the bottom of the old filter...
I am still a newb but mine was:
Top wire was fuel heater
Side wire was a pressure sensor
Bottom was water in fuel sensor
Are you looking for the colors of the wires too?
I just disconnected all of them and installed a Wix# 33417
