Thinkin about a 97 E300
any one with any experience in one? I am commuting a 180 miles a day and the 97 f350 only will give me 21 mpg if I keep it down in the 60's any info would be good at this point. I am also thinking the VW, but I like the thought of a bit more metal around me on the SoCal freeways.- zx2

He came by yesterday and pretty much confirmed what I suspected. Old Blue (86 6.9L) will be need a transplant. Now I will have to count up the pennies and see whats left after buying the 97.- zx2

I need a bit of help
from some of you more experienced guys. I bought a 97 PSD a few weeks ago and now need to do the front brakes on it. here's the question. How do I get to bolts loose to pull off the calipers so I can get the pads changed? I have tried to use my breaker bar but no luck so far. evn put on a pipe...- zx2

So i am watching the olympics and see the new Chebby impala comercial. The one that talks about the 8 cyl engine that shuts down to four cylinders in econo mode. Can thet be done with any electric controlled injectors? like just put a swith in line and shut off two of them when running down...- zx2

My 6.9 is a seven cylinder
I have suspected this but now have confermation. Lost one cylinder (runs in the 200psi range) plus it leaks oil at front and back mains, and the turbo whine is now the bearings going out....Gah.... what to do... what to do...Rebuild or repalce.... I turn this thought over a lot...- zx2
