    Thinkin about a 97 E300

    any one with any experience in one? I am commuting a 180 miles a day and the 97 f350 only will give me 21 mpg if I keep it down in the 60's any info would be good at this point. I am also thinking the VW, but I like the thought of a bit more metal around me on the SoCal freeways.

    My 6.9 is a seven cylinder

    I have suspected this but now have confermation. Lost one cylinder (runs in the 200psi range) plus it leaks oil at front and back mains, and the turbo whine is now the bearings going out....Gah.... what to do... what to do...Rebuild or repalce.... I turn this thought over a lot...
