    What's Your Favorite Coolant Heater?

Ok Bill, I will explain myself better I dont know how to post a pic of it! On the intake side of the heater you need to pull water from one of two places, the bottom of the block, or bottom radiator hose. The kit does not come with the t fitting so If you intend to use the radiator hose you...

    What's Your Favorite Coolant Heater?

BigLug, Im pretty sure the yrs that have the IDI motors do have a vacuum valve. Mine has one it has a vacuum line going into the side of the heater box. Some of the older ones had a valve in the line that was manual or vacuum. But let me start over on that part, I was half asleep last night when...

I have just been through the ringer with this engine heater thing! I tell you what I have learned. If you are going to use a block heater , use the factory screw in type. I tried a freeze plug heater from Kats , it was ok for about a week and quit. I also tried a simple bottom radiator...

New guy with ????? on 99 7.3 ps miss

Ok Guys , I dont have a PS but my buddy does. He has a 99 7.3, the prob he is having is rough idle. He said it seems to miss at idle, vibrates and shakes the gear shift. After you rev it up like above 900 rpm it feels like it smoothes out. At highway speed it seems to run ok, he is not sure if...

    Where does this wire go?

I also have a wire not being used on my work pickup. The reason is my white truck has 3 wires on the fuel filter two on top and one on bottom. The work truck has diff filter and does not use one of the wires. The white truck has a aluminum bottom that goes under the filter, the work truck does...

    E4OD tranny

I dont know what the big rvs weigh, But most of the time we are hauling cows around here. With a big fithwheel stock trailer and 10-15 cows = 10000-20000 pds and soft sandy ground and roads the e4od is pretty marginal, they do work and some last a while but way more get fried , we also run big...

    Radiator pressure ?????????

I had a 13on it but it was shot, I have a new 13 pound cap on now with no probs! Now if I could just get my block heater working Id be happy, I got a new one and it was a dud from the factory so Im waiting again!

    Radiator pressure ?????????

I think you are correct , the napa computer does list a 7 pd which is odd to me since most people say 13 is better. I just am curious if the 13 is harder on head gaskets or if that is a non issue, I assume the motor compression puts way more stress on a head gasket then a 13 pd versus 7 pd cap.

    Radiator pressure ?????????

I know I read on here somewhere you need 13 pds of pressure in a 7.3. I went to get a new radiator cap and they said it calls for a 7 pd cap! I said are you sure , 7pd cap for a 90 7.3 , he said yes. My ? is what is the truth I would think if factory calls for 7 that would be what you want...
