    Sounds like the kit I just came across. Mine has BAE on the exhaust manifold. Do a search for RotoMaster Turbo on here, I have some pictures of the setup.

    Yeah, they put sodium siicate (liquid glass) in the engines. Although I noticed all the diesels we got in, most of them would still start, and had clean oil. :dunno

    It spins free, and is tight. But I was going to rebuild it anyway, just in case.

    More pictures The manifold says BAE on it. The turbo has an A/R 85 on it. And also Roto- Master Hi-Flo.

    Like anything else, open up the intake, open up the exhaust. Look up the soup bowl mod on here, to open your air cleaner up.

    This turbo still spun freely and had no side to side, worn out movement. I would still have it rebuilt, just to be safe. The intake tube had oil in it. I got all the pieces to it, took me about an hour to get out. I had the truck up on a forklift that helped, and my Matco 3/8 impact helped...

    It has a hat on the intake like on a ghost tube, then the stock air filter is relocated forward more on another hat that has the black tube going into it. I will get better pictures tomorrow when I bring it home.

    On this one, the turbo sits more toward the middle, and the cross over tube from the pass side comes up right under it. Yes it is mounted on the drivers side of the engine.

    I got a complete turbo set up today at work off a clunker 85 F250 truck. I had to cut the downtube into 3 pieces to get it out, but at least I have the flange and the pipe can be used as a pattern. I did not bring it home yet, and have not gotten any #'s off of it.;Sweet

    We have no inspection here. If I had to I can get a form from the DMV that you can list the motor, body, frame, ect... and have a title built for it. If I get pulled over and the cop says..Is that an IDI under the hood...then I may just shake his hand and say yep.

    Oh yeah it will definitely get a turbo on it. And with the 4.10's that are in it, it will definitely not be a speed demon.

    Does anyone have a ZF5 or a transfercase they can access easily (that is removed) I need to know the spline count and diameter of the output shaft on the ZF5. I think I found a place that can get me an input shaft for my NP 271 that is currently in the truck, so I can run my 7.3 and ZF5 combo...

    Yeah, a 500+ cubic inch diesel V8 would be cool.....But if they only pull to about 2500rpm's, maybe my 2600 Ford tractor with its 3cyl diesel is in need of an upgrade........:thumbsup:

    I was going to isolate this from the glowplug system. Maybe not even have the glowplugs at all. There was talk of removing them and pluging the holes to help lower the compression of the engine.

    00 PSD Intake Heater Test Got one of these from work today and tested it out. After 20 seconds, it was over 1000 degrees F". It was wired into the GP solinoid. Gonna try to rig it up on my 92 7.3 this weekend.
