IMO I would find a decent community college rather than the expensive tech programs. I went to Northeast Community College for their 2yr diesel program and only spent 10k. We had 15 in the class. From my experience the school gives you the basics and you learned the most from the internship over...
I've got an 89 F350 cc 2wd E4od. It ran well when I parked it 4 yrs ago. I had it running about a year ago to move it but the return lines and tranny were leaking pretty bad. It's in northeast Nebraska (68733) I'd take $800 for it.
Got the leak taken care of ;Sweet. Installed new sensor but the local ford dealer did not have the harness in stock-cuss. I cleaned the harness pretty thoroughly with electrical cleaner and put everything back together. I started on it Sunday night at 9pm and was done shortly after midnight. The...
A buddy of mine has a 2003 F-350 6.0 It's started leaking oil pretty bad around the back of the engine. It leaves a puddle after idling for 5-10 minutes. From reading past threads I'm leaning towards the ICP. Does the ICP need to be replaced or can I get away pulling it out and replacing the o...
It was the heater that was bad. The temperature was hovering around zero degrees when he was having problems. Replaced the heater and it starts like a champ.
i'm in northeast nebraska and have an 89 cc dually sittin out at grandpas that i want a flatbed for. i could sell you the fenders but i don't know what they're worth. they are black and gray. let me know if you're interested.
Where is this dyno shop? I might be able to make the trip down from northeast nebraska. Later in May would work better but I'll see what I can do. I want to get my 88 dynoed before I tear into it.
I've got a buddy with an '03 crew cab DRW 2wd CTD. It starts fine when plugged in, but after sitting at a job site (he does construction work) it starts pretty hard. I've got all ford trucks so I don't know much about the grid heater system. Is there a fuse blown? Do these heaters burn out? I'm...
Cat has (had? not sure if its still goin in trucks) the C18 rated at over 700HP and some absurdly high torque number that does not make one lick of smoke.
Instead of smoke, go for proper tuning and loud exhaust;Sweet
Ken
I work at a Cat Dealer and I have not seen a C18 in any of the...
