    up pipe donuts

It depends on how much patience you have. If you remove the collector from the back of the turbo, and the bolts from the bottom of the up pipes at the exhaust manifolds, you can wiggle stuff around to swap them. THIS REQUIRES A LOT OF PATIENCE, I spent 3 hours doing it. Check the pipes once...

    Powerstroke 7.3l Code 1247?

I'm betting in the $80-$100 from the dealership, but I would try a wrecker first. Maybe take the hoses off and make sure they are not restricted. Or that there is nothing in the sensor itself. The sensors seem to be pretty solid, so you should probably be able to poke inside of it

    Powerstroke 7.3l Code 1247?

Sounds like it should be it. It will have 3 wires coming out of it.

    Powerstroke 7.3l Code 1247?

I was just reading the service notes, and it says that 1247 and 1248 could mean turbo boost is low, or not detected. Check all the hose connections to your MAP sensor, and maybe all the electrical connections as well. Do you have an aftermarket boost guage installed as well? If it is reading...

    AutoEnginuity

I guess it all depends on your idea of tuning. My understanding of tuning would be to change the programming in the computer, like adding a chip or something to that effect You can monitor all the sensors, and it works very good for that, but you cannot change the actual program in the...

    AutoEnginuity

Sadly, no, it cannot be used to tune. It may be with other software, but with the Autoenginuity software, it is only for reading codes and performing tests

6203 bearing. $4.53 here when I bought them. just found the receipt.

    Idler pulley brgs.....

I used an arbor press to change mine. I want to say they are a 6205 bearing, but I cant say for sure, without seeing the old ones. It doesnt take much pressure to push them out. I didnt want to hammer them out, as it might have bent the idler. They are a very generic bearing, most bearing or...

turning off day time running lights?

If you only unplug it , your hi beam indicator on the dash will not light, nor will the emergency brake light indicator. Both of those circuits run through the module and the plug shorts out the wires to make them work normally.

turning off day time running lights?

there is no switch for it, you have to remove the daytime running light module and splice some wires together if you want it to act normally.Or, if you go to an autowrecker, and find a wrecked F150-350, that does not have the daytime running light module, you can get the plug that would go in...

Anyone running 100% WVO on a PSD 7.3?

I started to make a filtering system for WMO, then fuel came back down to a reasonable price, which kind of took away some of the need for burning it for me.

Waste Motor Oil as fuel in a 7.3?

What are you using for a pump? or are you letting it gravity feed from one to the other? I like the gravity feed because it requires no more power to operate the filtering system. I am testing with 2 pails and a frantz filter right now, and it takes a couple of days to run straight 15w40 through...

    Thermostat

Mine usually sits between N and O. I do know that the water temperature has gone up since installing the intercooler, as well, the water temperature is higher when the A/C is on. There's lots of hot stuff that wants cooling before the rad even gets cool air. I was worried about it, but it...

Waste Motor Oil as fuel in a 7.3?

I intend to use a spin on fuel/water filter and put it in series with a 3 roll frantz filter. I just have yet to work out containers. I was hoping to just use 5 gallon pails and use gravity feed, but I have a hunch that the 15w40 wont flow easily enough now that the garage temperature is 7...

Waste Motor Oil as fuel in a 7.3?

Is it a good idea, or bad? Everything I have read says that it works fine in a mechanical injection system, but no one ever seems to say what it does in HEUI engines. Is it just general badness? Or cheap goodness? I am contemplating getting a system set up for it, but have yet to accumulate...

    Oil change?

Sorry, I thought I ended my sentence with a question mark, instead of a period. Your analogy makes sense though.

    Oil change?

Thats what I figured, but then I dont understand how guys can use a bypass filter and go 10,000 miles without an oil change. Youre not improving your viscosity by filtering it, youre just cleaning it.

    Oil change?

Why is that? It has bothered me since I noticed it happening

    Oil change?

I think it circulates enough to not warrant sucking it out every time, but if you do the math, if its 3 litres out of 17 that isn't changed during an oil change, that's 17% of the engine oil that is not changed during a regular oil change. The part I dont get is at what stage during an oil...

    Oil change?

Yeah, multiple parts, very well explained.I was very impressed at the lengths he went into explaining stuff. It really opened my eyes to the failing points on the 6.0, and more so the fact that I am glad I bought a 7.3

    Oil change?

I tried finding the video again, but I ran out of time. I do agree with everything else he had to say, and his description on the 6.0 and the 7.3 were very well done. I believe it was http://www.powerstrokehelp.com/ where I saw the videos on the engines, but I cannot find the video on the...

    Oil change?

I didnt feel like I was getting attacked. I have never changed the oil in the reservoir. I saw a video on youtube of a guy that recommended using a vacuum pump and removing the oil, and when he did, the oil was black and thick, and his reasoning was that the oil in the reservoir and the heads...

    Oil change?

The only reason you would need to change it because the HPOP reservoir doesnt drain, it just circulates, so there is approximately 3 quarts in the heads and in the reservoir that does not come out during a drop the plug oil change. There is a plug with a hex head on the top of the HPOP...
