$850 for a radiator? Wow, a lot of idi owners didn't even pay that for ther entire truck. Total ripoff imo but I'm sure its built well. Would never pay that much for a rad lol
Thats about what we get to recore your old radiator with a good 4r core,16 fins per inch and extra tubes.

What kind of steaming pile of crap truck can you buy for $850? A lot of IDI owners drive a rig they paid $850 for? LOL

Anyway, Jerry builds these radiators individually. No huge factory job. Just a small shop in Evansville, IN. Rip off? That rad is protecting the thousands of dollars of parts and work I put into my engine. It is keeping me and my family off the side of the highway when we are supposed to be enjoying vacation time together. Worth every penny for what I need a radiator to do. The only reason I'd ever have to replace that radiator while I'm still on the earth is if the truck were in a front end wreck.

If you just short trip or daily drive your rig to and from work and never haul anything significant, then buy the cheapest radiator you can find. For what I've invested in my rig and how important it is for that rig to NOT fail hundreds of miles from home with my fifth wheel and family with me... I need quality, not cheap.

Just sayin it's a lot of $ for something like that. I think it surprised me because I have never heard of a radiator costing that much. And yes, people have paid around 1K for these trucks. Sometimes people over estimate what a ~30 year old truck is really worth lol.
To each their own! I was happy spending $200 for a 16 fin per sq. inch 3 row champion rad & was really impressed with build quality & performance. Never ran above 200 degrees pulling up grades so I was good with that. Also ran it for years with no probs. No longer own the truck but just bought another champion rad for my yj.

I paid about $900 for the 88 f250 I had.
4x4 with 3.55LS, 5 speed, power everything, captains chairs, etc etc etc.
Only thing wrong with it was the speedometer didn't work. Lol

Sorta, clutch pedal safety switch fell off, I started by silinoid on fire wall fired right up and drove it home lol they put batteries in it, new starter, silinoid, charged it and never knew why it didn't start. I made sure it ran before I bought it

A radiator only has 1 core. In that core are rows of tubes... do you want a 3row or a 4row? Depends on where you live but bigger is better but you might not need bigger if you live in north dakota or alaska.
Oops, thanks for the correction.
Live in Cali planning to move to Montana, Idaho or Arizona in a few years.
I think I'll go with the the four row.

One of these things are not like the other.:D This is what I call indecisive lol.
Tell me about it... allot of bang for the buck in Arizona though.
I could get about 5-15 acres in Montana or 20-40 acres in AZ for the same price. (And yes there is water. the land I'm looking at sits on two aquifers)
