quick update. drove the truck around my yard today. noise happens with clutch depressed as well as engaged. Thinking transfer case. The noise started directly after my shift from 4 lo to 2 hi. Doesn't make noise in neutral. Pinion gear- no leaks on rear pumpkin. Could be the problem, but why no noise when clutch is depressed?- thill

wouldn't the front driveshaft be non rotational when in 2 wd with front hubs unlocked? manual locking hubs (brand new) I'm gonna remove it Monday either way to start isolating the problem.- thill

93 f 350, zf 5, 7.3 non turbo, 4wd. Had a helluva a day yesterday. Day started with the upper shock mount breaking on the front passenger side. Ended with banging in the driveline. Put the truck into low range to pull out a small dead spruce. Did so with no problem. few mins later I'm driving...- thill

front axle leaking
93 f 350 can n chassis dually. changed the gear oil to amsoil synthetic a few months ago. Noticed lots of wetness on front axle ends just behind the rotors. Im assuming I need to changed outer seals? ol synthetic killed my seals im sure. is this a dana 60? Tips on how to do this, or what I need...- thill

zf 5 fluid capactiy transfer case
93, f 350 idi. manual trans. 10" arbortech chipper body, 4 wd, borg warner transfer case. I went to flush the transfer case this morning. Way more fluid came out then I was able to get back in. Using atf. Do the tranny and transfer case share fluid? Cuz when I took out the fill plug, even before...- thill

cavitation advice
I had a compression test done. Im not sure if the mechanic actually did the test thought. He only charged me for an hour of labor for a compression test and to look the whole truck over for defects and problems. How long would it take to remove the glow plugs and test all 8 cylinders?- thill
