Thank you all for the feed back. A little late but I will be replacing the vacuum pump right when I get the money. As for the exhaust, I will check for soot on manifolds and exhaust pipe. Also my shifter boot is not connected so it might be possible that is how it is getting fines in. I am...
Recently purchased a 93 7.3 idi 4x4 5spd manual dually flatbed that runs great, everything I wanted in a truck. Recently installed a coolant filter on the truck to extend its life In the long run. Also cut off the muffler with a sawz-all. I ran it without the muffler for a couple days but...
Thanks for the reply,
4Lo works in reverse. I will check the shift lever as you were saying. But if it were the shift lever would I not be able to shift in 4 low? I can shift into 4low from the cab and then back to H2. It just doesn't engage H4 when I shift into it.
recently acquired a 93 7.3 idi 5spd manual 4x4 dually. The 4x4 low gear works but for some reason the high gear doesn't. What could possibly be the issue with the high gear? Has this ever happened to anyone else?
Thank you guys in advance for the help.
Im not really getting any boost from my turbo I installed. It's whistling like crazy but it's not giving my the power I thought it would. Checked for leaks and I have an exhaust leak where the y elbow connects to the passenger side mannifold. I loosened the turbo and the y elbow and tried to...

Trying to get a turbo in still. Had to take off the steel line to the back left injector to tighten pedestal all the way. I'm having trouble getting it back on the injector. The line seems to have an adapter of some sort and I feel like if I am able to take it off, I will be able to get it on...
That is what I am going to do, IDIoit. I'm going just try and shorten it up. And do you guys have suggestions on moving the injection pump steel lines? There is one steel line going to the back left injector that is running right under the bolt to the turbo pedestal. No way I can fit a nut there...
My bad yall I understand what to do now thanks for the help, also another question, I'm having trouble fitting the actual turbo because of the trans oil dip stick.... anyone have any tips on moving it or fitting it properly?
If I have the AN style oil line do I still need to use the olive peice? I just don't see where it would go because everything all fits on without out it
