Trucks burning a lot of oil
my truck is burning a ton of oil also with that same color of smoke. It runs good but uses too much oil to afford to drive. is a cdr change expensive and difficult, anyone?- cewofford

please tell me i dont need a rebuild
black or blue smoke at start up a lil rough idle at startup then smooths out quickly. i notice some smoke when idling i would say black or blue. has some blowby. diesel injection shop says it has some but not too bad.- cewofford

I haven't been driving my idi turbo much lately but it seems to be consuming excessive oil and coolant. the rear main looks to be leaking but not terribly. I checked the coolant this evening and its been awhile since i have and it was nearly two gallons low. i drive it 50 miles a week and it...- cewofford

New Toy
junior those wheels are Weldracing 20x10. Came on the truck when I bought it. The tires are 35/13.5r20 Micky Thompsons and they were on the truck when I bought it. Ive got plans for this classic. New Toy
Been awhile since I've been on here but the IDI has been running great. Got this new toy today, its not diesel, but thought ya'll might wanna check it out. 1978 F250 400M, 4 speed 4x4. Drivetrain runs good just needs tlc. Hopefully a mud truck soon. Plus only got about $300 in it.- cewofford

ok i jumped to small post and nothing happened. i jumped to large post with small wire on it and it started. does that tell you anything?- cewofford

Ok... haven't started my 94 turbo idi in five days. went out today it was 65 degrees and hasnt been plugged in. cycled the glow plugs they stayed on 15 secs. then turn it further to start and nothing. no click no bump nothing. thought batteries may be dead. put charger on and there was charge on...- cewofford

no glowplugs
earlier my light didn't come on and it was the ground wire from the relay to the valve cover bolt that had seperated.- cewofford

i got in a pinch a month ago and put three bosch into replace the bad autolites the PO installed. are bosch close to as good as Beru- cewofford
