Seems to me coolant psi is as important as coolant temp.
Think its time to get busy and find a coolant psi gage. When im done my dash will probably look like a 747.LOL
No I didnt see any coolant, Its about a 500ft push from the house to the road and I have a 8 ft truck blade on the quick attach, sonot alot of wasted time backing.
Shes an old girl, 1982 no auto shut downs only gages.
I was just wondering if anyone has ever tried a coolant psi gage? Ive got one on my JD 125 skidloader, and the other day when I was plowing snow the radiator blew out a upper tank seam. If I didnt have the coolant psi gage I wouldnt of caught the leak in time and over heated the motor.
So I am...
checked the fuel flow and pressure, and both were ok. Checked the timeimg and it was 26 degree adv. Opened the side cover and found carnage. Time for a new pump:puke:advance mechanism bit the bullit-cuss
Materials were under a hundred bux, to get the flanges cnc cut and milled was another story, just over 200$ about 5 years ago. And I cant remember how much fab time I had into them. I do know it was aloTTTTTTTTTT!!!LOL
Thanks, That is what I thought but wasnt positive. Guess I should change the fuel filter and get a fuel pressure gauge. That also explains my sudden loss of power, no juice no go!
I was just driveing my truck and all of a sudden it developed a nasty ignition rattle, like to much advance.
I cant remember if low fuel press causes timeing adv or retard. Im really hopeing the IP aint takeing a crap.-cuss
