BigLug, Im pretty sure the yrs that have the IDI motors do have a vacuum valve. Mine has one it has a vacuum line going into the side of the heater box. How about just putting a big cup in the cup holder or something so you cant see it and forget about it! Just an idea, I sometimes let small things like that worry me to death, but really it doesnt hurt anything. :dunno- 4x7.3NE

Ok Guys , I dont have a PS but my buddy does. He has a 99 7.3, the prob he is having is rough idle. He said it seems to miss at idle, vibrates and shakes the gear shift. cold timing advance how do I know if its working
update I figured out that my timing advance does work, I hot wired it to the batt and I hear it come on, so I guess now the ? is , is the temp switch that kicks in the idle and timing working?- 4x7.3NE

Hey guys , I have the high idle figured out kind of, but how can you tell if the cold advance is working and if its not what do I check first? Also if the high idle and advance are not working where do you look first. I dont quite understand how this is all wired!- 4x7.3NE

Where does this wire go?
I also have a wire not being used on my work pickup. The reason is my white truck has 3 wires on the fuel filter two on top and one on bottom. The work truck has diff filter and does not use one of the wires. The white truck has a aluminum bottom that goes under the filter, the work truck does...- 4x7.3NE

I dont know what the big rvs weigh, But most of the time we are hauling cows around here. With a big fithwheel stock trailer and 10-15 cows = 10000-20000 pds and soft sandy ground and roads the e4od is pretty marginal, they do work and some last a while but way more get fried , we also run big...- 4x7.3NE
