So when I bought this truck, I hated the tan color and had planned to have it painted white. The tan was oxidized and had a bunch of stains and streaks that wouldn't wash off.
I decided to have my detailers come over last Saturday and rub the paint out and wax it. It came out pretty good, almost good enough to not justify spending money on a paint job right now.
I installed new front light assemblies the other day but I'm still on the fence about how cheap they look.

The camper shell boot wore the paint off around the back window. I found a paint shop that will repaint that for me

Looks really nice. I would touch up that rear window area and call it good. Cosmetic stuff is nothing but $$$ and eye glitter anyways

Thank you guys, I appreciate it.
I tell you one thing though, it's like night and day with the new lenses compared to the old yellowed ones.

My bricknose that got totaled, I had painted white. My wife's new Audi is white. I had a black TDI Jetta company car that was a ****** to keep clean but I've found that white is a great color for hiding dirt.
I gotta say though, this tan truck hides it pretty well too

My wife says she saw a new Ford Edge that was painted tan and my detail guys said the color is coming back.
Me, I just remember the days where all I ever saw was tan and powder blue tempos and escorts and it leaves a yucky taste in your mouth.

Not saying white is bad, but you see every speck of dust, which bothers me. Lol
Does hide swirls and scratches slightly better than black/dark colors.
