Goofyexponent
Mentally Unstable..
I want to see what you all are running for plows. Long wheel base, short wheel base, bull dozers, shovels...I don't care.
What do you remove snow with, do you plow for just yourself, plow other people's driveways or are you a commercial contactor!
I'll start.
1993 F250, one year old Snowbear 7' blade. Nothing I would do a huge parking lot with, but I have a list of about 30 driveways and a couple small parking lots to do this winter. I got $300 of my own cash into it, that's it! All I had to do was buy the mount, the blade was a trade off for work I done this fall.
Believe me, those snowbear plows are tougher than they look, you just got to know how to plow and take it easy on them.
I added a set of "head gear" to bolt lights to and a set of brackets with an old set of Western Skid Shoes on them as well. Just scrap steel I had laying around at the shop so I bit the bullet and started cutting and welding.
There are 3 of us grouped together to plow a grand total of 60 some driveways. This way, of one plow goes down we have two more and a fourth buddy who can sub us out if need be.
NOW IF WE CAN JUST GET SOME SNOW!!!!
