cranks a lot before starting

It had a bad spot in it with a lot of corrosion.

if you test the resistance with a VOLT METER on each plug after trying to light them you can tell which ones got hot and which ones didnt - aka werent getting power due to bad wire/connection even if they are good plugs.

do you mean the bullet connectors that plug into the top of the gp's were corroded? that's one thing i had not yet considered to try. Or was the corrosion somewhere else?
