Hey guys, I'm trying to install a RDT however I can't get the friggen CDR off. My dumb question is there a clamp or zip tie at the bottom of the CDR that i can't see. Also what size tube is it for the fitting, would like to get it before I take the CDR off. 1989 7.3 non turbo..Thanks

It should just be sitting in a rubber gromett in the valley pan. On my 94 there is a small clamp around the gromett but the CDR is on the valve cover on that truck.

They have a tendancy to become petrified. It's just stuck pretty darn good.

My 92 had a metal crimped on clamp on the thing when I got it.and the rubber tube was petrified and came off in chunks that had to be fished out of the top of the valley pan. had to order new tube and gromit piece CDR tube and grommet assembly E8TZ-6A892-A

i would order that before you take the cdr out, it brakes easily since it is most likely old and dry. also most ford dealers don't carry it so it will take a couple days to get.

I was just going to run a piece of heavy duty reinforced rubber hose down the side of the engine from the back of the intake where the CDR connects to. However i'm unsure of the diameter needed.
