I ended up with a 2 tank system. I run all diesel in the stock tank but when I'm on the highway I switch to my 100 gal tank with a 80% wmo and 20%diesel mix. The only people who consistently have no problems with smoke are the older Ford guys using a two tank system and a heater for the waste oil. I have looked on the net for some specs but the only data I can find is the one Mopar Man posted here. You would think if the hfrr test is so widely used there would be all kinds of data available on all types of oil. Try a search and see if you can do better than I did. I don't run the Bio. I just filter the hell out of wmo / wvo and mix it with Diesel and a cetane booster. In the hfrr test it says waste oil ranks low. The stuff they tested was used Rotella T (diesel oil) but they did not test a synthetic oil, atf or even a regular motor oil but they had no...- kwcrusader

Ah that's what killed my last one. My lift pump went, then 3 months later so did my IP. I have a rebuilt from Industrial injection in there now with the Fass fuel system lift pump and filter combo (sitting at my shop waiting to go in) I know the vp-44 is junk but I did not know anything about...- kwcrusader

Where do you get this filter you speak of? I have been running wmo and wvo for a long time. I see no major problems either. I do notice wmo smokes way more than wvo but wvo in nasty stuff to leave in your fuel system.- kwcrusader

Mopar 1973 Man, I was wondering if you knew anyplace I could bring several different fuel mixtures and have them give it the HFRR test? Or can I buy my own tester? I have looked online and can't even find a consistent explanation of what they do to test it or what the test is....- kwcrusader

Injectors
I pulled a few of my injectors a while back, It took a while but it's not rocket science. I had to clean them up so I took them totally apart. It's pretty easy to do. They called for a special tool to pull the injector out but I didn't need it. Just pry them out with a pry bar but (be careful)...- kwcrusader

WOW! Thanks for that info. I looked for specs like that before I started messing with wvo and wmo but couldn't find anything good. Seems like you only find out what you can't do after it's too late..... I'm definitely not going to stop using wmo but I will learn more about how to test it and...- kwcrusader

One more thing that threw me off was my MAP sensor is reading 15psi with engine off or at idle. If I get the turbo to push higher than 15 it will read but if psi drops below that it will say at 15.... I heard this is normal but I couldent find any specs online.- kwcrusader

I have the same problem with my 01 2500. I ran a tank of 50% wmo 50% diesel, it ran great just a little smoke so I went to 80%wmo 20%diesel and now it's starting to piss people off. I have to drive with a light foot to try and not kill everyone in town. I'm going to toss 2 gal of gas in there...- kwcrusader

98 2500 24v turbo problems???????????
I had a similer problem on my 2001 2500 and it turned out to be a bad lift pump. I would check your fuel pressure at the fitting on your filter housing. Make sure its above 5-psi. To test it, bump your motor and leave the key on but don't start it. If it's under 5-psi replace the lift pump...- kwcrusader
