I just got a 2000 PSD and am looking for MPG. First and foremost. It already has gauges and a 4" exhaust turbo back. Going fast takes second place. With today's prices I can't "play" too much.
Please post up your mileage gains with this or any other product.
If you are talking stock you maybe close to right. But all the diesels are much easier to gain HP and torque out of them with a few mods than what a gasser will. And then there is NO comparison.
Its my understanding you do not have to have a physical to hold a CDL. BUT............if you start driving a commercial vehicle you better have one.
If Splash gets a CDL now, and don't use it for two or three years the CDL is not going to be revoked if he doesn't have a physical and is...
I've been down Lewiston with a full load of lumber. Another guy I know that had trucked all over ID and OR told me that before I start down to make for damn sure I was in low range. I was sure glad he knew the area and gave me that advice.
A few years ago when I was far less experienced I...
I've seen F150s hooked up to a 9000 lb GN RV trailer. When I asked the one guy about it his response was its ONLY 9000 lbs whats the big deal.
You sure want to give idiots like these a wide berth.
At the least if it didn't take out the gear box it should have taken out the shear bolts in the blade holders, and the driveline shear pin before the gear box.
Unless the gear box was already weak.
Your right, the massive amount of torque compared to HP is what makes the liter difference in his computations.
My 3406e has 435 HP, but some thing like 1650 lbs of torque.
I put one on my truck near the end of last quarter 2005.
Once I get results in for all of first quarter 2006 I'll let you know.
I think it is up some, but with Landstar doing the fuel tax stuff I don't keep close records like I did when I had to do it all.
Steel rim, Firestone tire
I was able to get 50K miles out of these tires.
Spare was rarely on the truck. Maybe 3 times total 500 miles, MAYBE.
OBO plus shipping.
FS 99 and up aluminum wheels 16" Ford
I've got a complete set of aluminum wheels with centers for 4x4 new in box.
They will fit 99 and up F250 and F350 single rear wheel.
Attatched is a similar pic, if some one is serious I'll go dig out the boxes open one and take an exact pic...
Once you've travelled the 6-8% grades of the Rockies with 80K lbs, 4-5% seem like humps in the road.
Give Vail, Eisenhower, and Wolf Creek Passes a try in CO. I've heard that Red Mnt Pass also in CO is bad, i've never been on that one.
Canada DOT specificly Ontario will be a major pain in the ass from what I've heard. Check into all the laws up front to avoid MAJOR fines down the road.
Sounds like a wild week in paradise. Glad no body got killed.
The rookie was parked to the drivers side of me. I was doing my log book, just put it away and pulled my seat belt on when he started out. He never looked in his side mirror. Just started driving. Most of us when parked in a...
