    The LTL tri axle has a 3406 Cat 425hp with an 8LL The tandem has a 3406 350hp also with an 8LL The single axle L8000 pulling the lowbed has the 7.8 Ford diesel (I don't remember what hp it is) with a 5&2. The Mack has an E7-427 with a Mack 18 speed

    A lot of the Super Dutys have 7 lug wheel covers, but they are actually 8 lug wheels under the covers. I think the only ones that really have 7 lug wheels are the LD 250s and whatever they call the heavy 150 that took its place. Stephen

    You will probably hate it for a short while until you get used to it, then you will love it. For a dump truck I really like the 8LL. But with your 2 speed T-case you probably don't need the deep reduction gear in the 8LL anyways. Stephen
