@Rdnck84_03 There is definitely some play in the axle shaft/knuckle. I figured it was the u joint. It is much worse on the driver side though, one with no noise when turned. Was going to replace that when I can purchase tools for it. So there is a third bearing on the inside side of dust cover?
1993 F250 7.3 NA with Dana 50 and manual locking hubs.
I just replaced rotors, calipers, brake pads, and bearings/races. When I put the hub back together on the passenger side the larger gear that is inside the hub body/ backed by a spring and held in by a small Phillips screw is rubbing and...
@Clb I have a 93 7.3 idi na ZF5 transmission. Everything that I’ve replaced has been oem/stock equivalent besides baby moose injection pump. Got the lift pump from Napa I think it was made by Carter (?) can’t remember name of it. I have replaced fuel selector valve and it is working, not...
Howdy, hope everyone is running well.
Made it to Oregon from Texas, pick up ran really besides vacuum pump going out in Nevada and then until two hours away from my destination. Kept Egts below 800-900 the whole way usually around 500-600. Have recently installed baby moose injection pump...
@Greenie they are Maddox clamps, they are sold at most part/hardware stores. They seem to be tough and well made. Mechanic told me other day that you’re supposed to use the spring style because worm style have a tendency to leak in two opposite spots of the clamps diameter. But I haven’t seen...
Found some in a salvage yard and picked up an extra in case. Found it off of row52.com
Thank y’all again for the help. Hopefully will be back on the road by this evening.
I know this has been discussed before but at least from the posts I saw the only options were finding one of the lines off a van or classic diesel designs used to sell them but does not anymore.
Got a baby moose fuel injection pump, installed, runs great but was leaking out of/around injector...
@Lumberjackchuck my bigger problem was the fuel selector valve/air intrusions. Front tank at least was not really rusty at all, the rear tank looks fine front the outside. I’m still using it as I imagine the plastic pieces won’t make it through a filter and seems to sit at the bottom anyways.
For anybody having a similar issue, one of the feed hoses/valve on my fuel selector valve was broken, the actual plastic of the fuel selector valve had been damaged. I replaced it and use rubber 3/8th and 5/16 hose to go to and over factory metal fuel lines secured with the worm style clamps. I...
1993 7.3 idi N/A
Howdy hope everyone is running well.
I have a seemingly broken off 5/16th or 3/8th hose, one end is on a little panel with some other hoses connected to it the other end I have no idea where it’s supposed to go and can’t find any valve or anything that it should go to or can...
@ttman4 thank you for the reply. I got the starter off and it made it much easier. I think mine might have been bent by a previous owner so maybe had to run it differently than it’s supposed to but I guess that shouldn’t make a difference since it’s still going to the bracket. Sanded down a o...
I know there are some posts on this but need some clarification, trying to get back on road and to work.
Was replacing valve cover gaskets and windshield wiper motor (along with a few other pita’s) upon removing mount for dip stick tube the thing just clunked right out of wherever it is...

I have just about finished replacing the bushings for all of my leaf springs, including the rear, rear shackles. But can’t find for sure what the torque specs are for u-bolts or bushing bolts and would like to get those correct before I hit the road. If you have...
@chillman88 Thank you for the reply. Definitely not ideal but I’d like to keep it running if I can and get new line set up and mounted properly before taking it into the shop for hopefully only a few hours.
@snicklas Thank you as well. I’ve got a belt already that should fit that route and...
Have a 1993 f250 xlt 7.3 non turbo
Recently my a/c had a massive leak due to hose hanging too low on my intake and it burnt/melted through the hose. Wasn’t too concerned about it as don’t use the ac much and figured I’d fix it next summer until I started getting a nasty squealing and burning...
Howdy, was wondering if anyone knows what kind of connection or fitting I could put on the end of this fuel line so I could go from this to a 3/8th hose. A 5/16 hose fits over it pretty snug but the 3/8th has a lot of wiggle room.
@IDIBRONCO @chillman88 Am working on replacing my return line from Fuel Selector Valve to engine block, any idea on how to take line off of fuel selector valve? Seems like it should just pull off but worried I’ll break something as I’ve read that some have a kind of “quick disconnect”
@chillman88 thanks I think that’s what I’m going to do.
@IDIBRONCO thank you for your continued help
@1mouse3 that is a sick setup you got going man! Hopefully I’ll get mine like that someday soon. Thanks for showing me
